Go Green Naturally at The Retreat on June 20
GOSHEN, Ind. - Did you know you can clean a kitchen counter top with lemon halves dipped in baking soda, or that you can disinfect your dishwater by placing a small bowl of vinegar on the bottom rack and running an empty cycle? There are many, natural ways to keep the home sparkling - without the need for chemicals found in most cleaning products.
The Retreat Women's Health Center invites women to"Go Green Naturally" during the Saturday Morning Retreat on June 20 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at The Retreat conference center, 1135 Professional Drive, Goshen.
Spend the morning learning how to safely clean and maintain your homes, on a room-by-room basis. Learn what special needs to consider while cleaning the kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and even what are the concerns for your lawn and garden.
Presenters include Naturopathic Physicians Marcia Prenguber, Emily Moore, Heather Paulson and Aroop Banerji, along with dietitians Becky Overholt and Tiffany Swartzentruber.
Participants will enjoy some healthy snacks and learn recipes for making their own cleaning agents at home. A $5 donation is requested for HeartString Sisters to fund screening mammograms for uninsured women in our community. Registration required by calling (574) 537-5000 or (877) WOMANS-1.
